Pangle

Introduction

The purpose of this article is to guide publishers who want to use the Fyber FairBid SDK to load and display ads from Pangle via FairBid Mediation.

This is a seven-step process:

  1. Create or login to your Pangle Account
  2. Create an App in Pangle
  3. Create a Placement for your app in the Pangle dashboard
  4. Retrieve the parameters from the Pangle dashboard
  5. Enable the Pangle network in the Fyber Console
  6. Add Pangle Instances for the relevant Placements in the Fyber Console
  7. Add the Pangle SDK to your integration

Note

Pangle currently supports the following ad formats:

  • Interstitials
  • Rewarded Videos
  • Banners

Step 1: Create or Login to your Pangle Account

Step 2: Create an App in Pangle

Click here and follow the instructions to set-up your app in Pangle.

Step 3: Create a Placement for your App in the Pangle Dashboard

Click here and follow the instructions to create a placement for your app.

Step 4: Retrieve the Parameters from the Pangle Dashboard

To enable Pangle to work as an Ad Network on the FairBid Mediation platform, you must obtain three parameters from your Pangle account and later insert them into the Fyber Console.

Set out below are the details of what parameters are required, how and where to obtain them.

Pangle Parameter Description
App ID The unique identifier of the app in Pangle's system
Ad Placement ID The unique identifier of the Placement in Pangle's system
Security Key Used for the Reporting API, Account ID, and Role ID.

Retrieving the App ID

To obtain the Pangle App ID, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Pangle dashboard
  2. On the left-side menu, click Application >> Apps

Retrieving the Ad Placement ID

To obtain the Add Placement ID, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Pangle dashboard
  2. On the left-side menu, click Application >> Ad Placements

Retrieving the Security Key

Follow these steps to retrieve the Security Key from the Pangle dashboard:

  1. Go to the Pangle dashboard
  2. On the left-side menu, click Integration & APIs >> Data API

  4. Hover over the Security Key and it is displayed.

Now that you have obtained the required parameters, you can complete the configuration of Pangle in your Fyber Account. 

Step 5: Insert the Pangle Parameters into the Fyber Console

To enter the parameters obtained from Pangle and insert them into the Fyber Console, follow these steps.

  1. Sign-in to your Fyber account.
  2. Select your app from the App Management window.

  1. On the App Management page, click Mediated Networks.

  1. Select Pangle from the list

The Pangle configuration window opens:

  1. Enter the Pangle app credentials and set the Instance name.

Instance name should be distinguishable in case you have multiple Pangle Instances.

Step 6: Adding Pangle Instances for the relevant Placements in the Fyber Console

To complete the set up, you must associate the Placement you just created on the Pangle dashboard to a Placement in the Fyber Console. Click here, for details how to add the new Pangle Instances for the relevant Placement. 

Step 7: Adding the Pangle SDK to your Integration

To add the Pangle SDK go to the Supported Networks page and follow the guide while selecting the Configuration for Pangle.

You have now successfully integrated Pangle into the console.
