Getting Started
The purpose of this guide to ensure you get the best out of Fyber. Each tab above walks you through the first steps of the process to begin your Fyber experience. Once you complete each step, move to the next tab.
Signing Up With Fyber
Signing up with Fyber is the first step to monetizing your app.
- Click here, to go to the console
- Enter all the required details in the Sign Up page
- Click Confirm.
Note
Make sure to use your official email address as stated on the app store or your website.
Once you have completed the registration process and all of your information has been processed, Fyber sends you an official acceptance email.
Remember to check your spam folder if you can't find the mail in your inbox.
Logging in to Fyber
Now that you've successfully signed up with Fyber,
- Click Sign In.
You are directed to the App Management window.
Click here, to add your first app to the console.
Adding an App to the Fyber Console
Having received the acceptance email from Fyber, it's time to start setting up your apps in the console.
Adding an App
Follow these steps to add an app to the console:
- Sign in to the console with your user name and password, here.
The App Management window opens:
Adding an App Options
Select the option for the app you are adding to the console.
- In the search field, enter one of the following:
- App Name
- Developer Name
- Bundle ID
As you enter your details a list of apps appears according to the information entered.
- Select the app you want from the search results.
- Select the COPPA checkbox, when relevant.
- Click Add Another App if you have additional apps you want to add to the console
Your app has been added to the console.
The next step is to Add Placements to your app.
- In the Add App window select My App is Not Available in the Google Play / Apple App Store

- Enter a name for the App
- Select either Android or iOS platform
- In the Category section select the relevant categories that your app corresponds with.
These categories are used by advertisers for targeting purposes.
- Drag and drop an icon for your app
- Enter the Bundle ID for your app
- Select the COPPA checkbox, when relevant.
The next step is to Add Placements to your app.
Editing App Settings
To edit the settings to your app, follow these steps.
Next to each app you can find its active placement types and selected performance metrics that refer to the app's Marketplace traffic of the previous day.
- Amend the Bundle ID and Categories, if necessary.
- Click Save to save your changes.
The next step is to Add Placements to your app.
Creating Placements
Now that you are signed up to Fyber and have added an app to the console, the next step in the process is to add placements.
What is an Ad Placement?
A Placement refers to a location within your app where ads can be displayed. This location might be, for example, on your Start screen, on the Game Over screen or the bottom or top bar of the app.
For each placement, you can define a specific ad format, configuration and delivery rules to maximize performance.
You must have at least one ad placement to monetize your app.
Adding your Placement
To start adding your ad placement:
- Log in to the Fyber console, here.
- Click Apps on the left menu
The App Management window opens
- Select the app for which you want to create placements
- The Placements window opens. All current placements are displayed.
- Enter the name of the placement.
- Select the Placement Type from the dropdown list.
- Click Save Placement when you have finished and continue to add placements, as required.
All the placements for that app are saved.
Targeting
You can target a specific audience that is exposed to ads running on this Placement.
- Select network connection option
Note
Set at least one option (Country or Network Connection), or turn the toggle off.
Floor Price
Floor prices indicate to buyers participating in auctions held in Fyber Marketplace, the minimal price at which you are willing to sell your inventory. By default, it is set to $0.01 for all countries. A floor price must be at least $0.01 or higher otherwise an auction cannot be held. All floor prices are in US dollars.
- Enter a floor price
- Select countries and set a different eCPM floor price for them
- Filter and amend the floor price individually or by Country Group.
Capping and Pacing
You can limit the number of ads shown on a placement for a given timeframe and also add pacing rule.
Name | Description |

Pacing | Set the pace for the maximum number of ad impressions per second / minute / day / hour |
Ad Types
Set out below are the details for each specific placement option.
Interstitials are full-page ads served between screens during mobile app navigation. They are presented to the user at natural app transition points such as launch, video pre-roll or game level load.
- The Placement Setup window opens.
- Under Create Multi-Test, toggle to ON to test different placement configurations. To learn more about Multi-Testing, read here.
- Under Supported Ad Types, use the toggle options to turn a display interstitial into a video interstitial or select both options, even after the placement has been created. By default, both options are selected.
- Once the Video option is selected, you can use the Video Settings to decide which videos you want to display.
- Under Targeting, toggle to ON to set specific targeting rules.
- Enter a floor price to define a minimal CPM for Fyber Marketplace.
- Set the Capping and Pacing limits for your placement.
- Click the checkbox for the child-directed audience message, if relevant.
- Click Save.
Rewarded ads are an engaging ad format that display a short video ad (up to 30 seconds) to the user and in exchange the user earns a reward. The user must watch the whole video through to the end to earn the reward.
- The Placement Setup window opens.
The Rewarding section is intended for those who would like to use server side rewarding.
- Provide the name of your currency and the reward amount and use Server Side Rewarding to define the server-to-server callback.
- Under Create Multi-Test, toggle to ON to test different placement configurations. To learn more about Multi-Testing, read here.
- Under Targeting, toggle to ON to set specific targeting rules.
- Enter a minimum floor price to define a minimal CPM for Fyber Marketplace.
- Set the Capping and Pacing limits for your placement.
- Click the checkbox for the child-directed audience message, if relevant.
- Click Save.
- The Placement Setup window opens.
- Set the Refresh Interval for the app banner placement. This determines the frequency in which a banner placement is refreshed.

- Under Targeting, toggle to ON to set specific targeting rules.
- Enter a floor price to define a minimal CPM for Fyber Marketplace.
- Set the Capping and Pacing limits for your placement.
- Click the checkbox for the child-directed audience message, if relevant.
- Click Save.
- The Placement Setup window opens.

- Enter a floor price to define a minimal CPM for Fyber Marketplace.
Quick Reporting Metrics
Next to each placement, you can find data of selected reporting metrics that relate to the actual performance of that placement. Using the given metrics, you can easily gain insights into the health of the placement in terms of how well it performs and its revenue contribution.
An explanation of each metric is provided in its tooltip. You can sort the displayed list of placements by each metric to enable a quick insights discovery or to manage the placements in the context of the different metrics such as revenue contribution, engagement, or fill rate.
